Get your cat a shot, then pick up a hooker!

I took the cat to the vet today. The office is in what I thought was an okay part of the city. It's near the center of Town on a pretty busy street. Nothing what I would call a questionable area. Apparently, I was wrong. After coming out of the exam room, I overhear a conversation between the tech and the vet about the girl sitting on a bench across the street. I look over my shoulder and see a young (probably 18-22) girl sitting in shorts and a tank top next to a guy. It is then explained that she is a prostitute. Apparently, that is her "corner" and the guy is her boyfriend and pimp.They told me that they see her and another girl out there every day being picked up and brought back by cars. 9-5 every day. Apparently, vice comes on duty at 5, so they leave then. They have taken down license plates and called the police several times, but the cops will do nothing about it. They claim they don't get paid enough and have better things to do. *sigh* I would say "There goes the neighbor hood, but I think it is already there."

BTW, kitty is fine, but slowing down. She will be 12 next month.
