Cold hell!

It's been a nice weekend. Friday night, I met with some of the tutors from the center I work at for drinks and appetizers. It was nice to get out for a bit and listen to some music. I woke up Saturday with the beginnings of a cold. I was hoping out hope that it was allergies, but no such luck. It's worse today. Ick.

Anyway, Saturday, I tutored, then I helped John fill in some holes and hang aluminum flashing on the corner of our house. It seems we have a woodpecker that has taken a liking to our house. He saw no signs of bugs or rotting wood. I looked them up on line and sometimes, they just find a spot that they like and keep coming back for more. Anyway, this should deter him. We went out for Chinese buffet for dinner to celebrate my birthday a couple of days late.

Today, I felt like utter crap, but did manage to do laundry and go out grocery shopping with M. I have decided to try and get out every weekend for at least a short time with just M, even if it is running errands. I think and I really need that alone time. We haven't been getting enough of it lately and that is not good.

These Morning Glories were a project that M and I did over the summer. The plant is huge and it just started blooming:
