update a bit late...

I got a phone call today from my friend at the EI. Peter is not going to start in the play group next week as a model. Apparently, there are too many models for that group and the one time slot we can do is full. Since he was the last person to be added to the list, then he got dropped. They will keep us on the list for the future when a slot opens up. I'm not terribly disappointed. Wile I though ti would be good for P, I wasn't looking forward to sitting in that parent group again. LOL


It was a nice, cool, long weekend. Saturday, I took Madeleine with me to the car dealer where they finally fixed the annoying knocking in my car door. It turns out the entire latch was defective and the only thing keeping the back door shut was the drivers side door. (Thank goodness for suicide doors). John was sick, so he slept all afternoon while I played with the kids and let them watch too much TV.

Sunday, John had to go into work and ended up there all day. I went shopping with the kids. Peter thankfully slept through the entire grocery store. Later in the afternoon, the kids were playing dress up with the pile of dirty laundry and Peter tripped and banged his forehead against a metal folding chair. He now has a Ginormous bruise on his head. *sigh* It's really fun trying to get a 16 month old to sit still so that you can out ice on it.

Monday, I got up early with Peter and met my mother at Savers (it is a thrift store chain) for their Labor Day sale. Everything in the store is 50% off. I got a lot of nice practically brand new things for the kids to wear this winter. I got Peter a winter coat for $2.50! I even managed to find myself a couple of nice sweaters.

I have decided time outs just aren't working for M. She just doesn't listen and poor P gets hit and pushed constantly. Today, I had had enough, so I gave her a warning and the next time she hit him, I took away her Barbie dolls for the day. She was not happy, but I think it is working a little. She was pretty good the rest of the afternoon. Poor P.

I have 1 hours left on Desiderata. I should have a photo tomorrow night.
