Pumpkins!!

We had a most excellent weekend. After tutoring on Saturday, I picked up the kids and we visited Marsha and Jack. It was rainy, but we made a trip to the pumpkin patch anyway. They weren't running the pumpkin ride, but they did have plenty to choose from. M chose hers because it had the # 3 on it ($3.00) and as she is 3 years old, it was the right one for her.

Sunday, I got to sleep in until 9:30. It was heavenly! the 4 of us spent some time out in the backyard getting it ready for winter. We put away the grill, lawn furniture, etc. We had some time to kill before taking P to get his 18 mos photos taken (which came out super cute!), so we carved the pumpkins.

John did the carving, while I cleaned out the innards. M wanted to help, but since she has this thing about her hands getting dirty, she took one look at the mess and back away. The pumpkin with the circle funny face is M's and the other is P's.

This morning at M's school ,they had "Dress up as you favorite Storybook Character" day. They had to bring the book as well. It is their way of getting around the no Halloween policy. I think it was a great idea. M wore her Halloween costume and went as Cinderella. Since it was family day, I stayed and watched the parade of costumes. It was very cute! Or course, I forgot my camera, but I will get plenty of photos of her Wednesday night.

I caved and stopped stitching on Moonlight Guardian after only 5 hours. I was just not in the mood for Kreiniks and rayon floss this time around. This is 15 hours:

Up next is Savannah's Curtsy.
