Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope it was a nice one for all. We went to Marsha and Jack's house for dinner. The family is coming to our house on Sunday for dinner here with us. It saves us from rushing around all over the place in one day. M said she was thankful for her kitty, Mommy, Daddy, Peter and colors. That makes sense, colors are good.

It's been a long week, so I will just share random happenings with you:

One Thanksgiving observation... Is it me or has the Macy's Day parade coverage changed since I was a kid? I tried to watch it today with M since she loves parades. It was 2 minutes of coverage for every 5 minutes of commercials. That is insane! The people who were covering it kept talking to random people on the street and celebrities. Who cares We want to see the floats and balloons! Maybe I will DVR it next year and watch it later so we can skip the commercials. I was very disappointed!

M learned how to put "The bear in the cave" at school on Monday. Yes, I raised an eyebrow at this as well. Apparently her teacher taught her how to zip her coat by herself. LOL She was so proud! I was as well and also grateful. One less coat I have to worry about when we are leaving the house.

P's been sleeping through the night with not waking up at 2, but then is up at 5AMfor the day. Can we say tired? If I could manage to get to bed at a decent time, then it probably wouldn't matter, but I'm a night owl by nature. Sometimes (and I mean very not very often as I like him little) I long for the day when he is 15 and sleeps until noon on the weekends.

I now live in the house of no squeaks. Since we moved in every door in this house has made a squeak or creak every time you opened it. We have been here for 5 years. Do no ask me why I chose to endure this for so long. There is no logic behind it. Needless to say, it finally got to me enough that I went on a WD-40 mission. 15 minutes and 7 doors later, I have complete silence. Ahhhhhh

I got to see my new lab on Tuesday. It is huge..about 3 times the size of the space I am in now. I am going to be in bench space heaven!

It is Thanksgiving day and I am almost done Christmas shopping. How weird is that?

I have been occupied with other things at night, so I'm still working on Savannah's Curtsy. Maybe I'll have a WIP photo over the weekend.

It's late, I should get to bed.
