Taking a breath

The week is almost over and soon I might feel free to breath a bit. I have been buys every night this week. Monday night, I had my last EGA board meeting (well as president anyway). Tuesday, I worked all day and then rushed home to go to a PTU meeting. Wednesday, I took M to her school in the evening for a cookie party. IT was fun. The kids got to frost and decorate a cookie, then eat tit. They also had Santa there and a woman who told stories through movement. I left P at home with John, since I had to volunteer for the first session. M and I had fun spending time together alone. Yesterday, I ran out with the kids and got the rest of the supplies for M's party. We got home just as the storm hit. I didn't end up having to tutor at all last night because the storm was just too bad. This is what we woke up to this morning:

While I waited for my mother to get here so I could go to work to finish packing the lab, I took the kids out for a few minutes. The snow was so deep that P couldn't walk. I think we got about 12 inches. He did have fun until he fell face first in it. Poor thing.

M had fun making snow angels.

And they went for a ride in the sled.

The lab is packed and ready to move to a new building. MY new space is huge and much brighter. I think I'll like it. I am going to be increasing my hours at the hospital sometime after the first of the year. I have a new boss, but pretty much the same job. Should be good.

Party-wise, I think we are set. I have the cake, the decorations, and goodies. The favor bags have been filled and the pinata has been stuffed. I can't believe M is going to be 4 on Tuesday! She is very excited about the party tomorrow. I'll post pictures soon!

We've had quite a lot of snow this season so far too. M and P look like they made the most of it though! :)
