Best intentions
When telling people what to get M for Christmas, I saw a Disney Princess Karaoke Machine that I thought she would love. I told my SIL and picked it up for her to give to M for Christmas. I should have read the reviews on line. I pulled it out of the box and the microphone cord was in 2 pieces. Not a big deal, since I was sure that I would be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer. Then she turned it on to play the "CDs". It sounds like crap. Definitely not worth the price tag. Thank God for receipts and a 90 day return policy. M was very upset, but I told her we would go and return it and get something even better. Maybe even a few things. She got very excited then. I took her to Target and they took it back no questions asked. We ended up getting a Princess play tent (on clearance), a princess CD player (that sounds SO much better) and barbie clothes. She is a lot happier now. So lesson learned, reads the reviews before buying. Had I read them, I probably would have thought of something else to get.
Today, another toy we bought for Christmas turned out to be less than. We had bought P a Band in a Box kit for Christmas. I opened it today thinking they would have fun playing with it with Maya (my mom's helper). One of the instruments broke almost immediately. I called First Act, the company that makes it and they are sending a replacement. No questions asked. Yay!!
We watched the Patriots game yesterday. They are going to the Super Bowl, Yay!!! Let's hope they win and remain undefeated!!!
