Contemplating kids' TV
I have a few questions about some kids shows that M & P watch a lot.
1. Why did the writers not name any of the other animals on Franklin? He has a name and his sister is Harriet. None of his friend have names. THey are Bear, Badger, Beaver, etc. Did the writers just give up?
2. Why doesn't Little Bear wear any clothes? His mother, Father, Grandparents, etc do. So, why not give him some pants?
3. Why does Wubzy live on his own? He is clearly too childlike to have his own house.
4. Don't Dora's parents worry about her on all of those adventures?
5. And what about Diego's parents? That boy does way too many dangerous stunts. Don't these 2 kids have school?
6. Why is Blue the only animal that can't really talk on the show? All of the other characters can.
I clearly need to get out of the house more...

Okay, we don't watch any of the other shows, but I'd never thought about Blue being the only one who doesn't talk. I guess because we have Steve to interpret? Actually, come to think of it, it's only the dogs who can't talk (Magenta and Green Puppy can't either). Still odd. The cat can talk, and the "inanimate objects" can talk (Shovel, Pail, Slippery, etc), but not the dogs?
