Turning the corner...

Wow, 2 posts in 2 days! It looks like everyone is finally turning the corner toward being healthy again. M was really the only one who wasn't too affected. John seems to be better, although he has had a major lack of sleep the past 2 nights because he is on call and got paged to go into work in the middle of the night. I just hope he can catch up on his sleep! I am doing much better. My sinuses seems to be on the mend. P is feeling better and seems to have more energy now. I received his results from his2 year blood test last week and apparently he is anemic. I am wondering if he really is since he was sick when they did the test. I have a call into the Ped to find out what is going on. *sigh* - Update- as I was typing this the Ped called, his levels aren't that low,so they wasn't him to take some iron drops and be retested in a couple of months. They aren't overly concerned. and his being sick at the time shouldn't affect his levels at all. So, not so bad...

We had a nice weekend. Saturday, M and I went to the Children's fair in Taunton. I worked a table with another Barnum mom to promote the preschool. It was a lot of fun and we did get a few sign-ups for assessments. M had fun and was a perfect angel. Sometimes, I wonder why she can't be that way at home, since I know she is clearly capable. I guess better out than at home, right? Saturday afternoon, the kids and I spent time outside. They are really loving the play set we bought them. (*reminder must take a photo) It really tires them out, which is a good thing! Sunday, was weekly Target run, playing, laundry and I got to take a nap in the afternoon. That was a bonus!

M has vacation this week, but I am taking advantage of "vacation school" that the Preschool is offering to make up days missed. The school department wants to get as close to perfect attendance as possible, so they offer these make up days (usually on Saturday) throughout all of the grades. Not that I think a preschooler really needs to make up days missed. I mean academically, she is well above her level, so missing a few days from being sick won't hurt her. I just figured since it was free and they are doing some fun things with the kids, I would take advantage of it and not have her home all week. LOL I need to stay sane. :)

I joined the Fantasy/Magic exchange on the rotationBB. I think I have an idea of what I am going to make, I'm not going to post until it is received, which should be by the end of May. I'm going to pull fibers tonight and get that started. I want to get it done so that I can get back to my other stitching. I'm hoping now that things seem to be slowing down at home and I am feeling better, I will be stitching more. I really miss it!

In case anyone is wondering, the Kogin Learning sampler that I posted yesterday are a free design from Ethnic Fiber Art, LLC. I am teaching this technique to my EGA chapter in June. It's pretty easy to do. Kind of like a running stitch, with a few adjustments to the back. I'm also going to be doing a version on red Aida. Stay tuned for that photo.
