Barbie can rest easy!

It's done! I stayed up late last night and finished the Barbie bed for M. She was so excited when I gave it to her this morning. I am so proud of how it came out. I almost didn't want to give it to her to play with. LOL 1 down, umpteen more pieces to go. It was fun to do and I can't wait to see how the other pieces come out.

Saturday, M was begging me to work on her bed. After watching me for a while, she asked to help. Instead, I cute a piece of plastic canvas, handed her a threaded needle and let he go for it. This is the result:

Not bad for a first try. I was excited to see her have an interest in stitching.

We had a great weekend. I took the kids to the zoo in the morning. It was supposed to be a school field trip with the teachers, but because it rained in the early morning none of them showed up. By the time it was time to leave for the zoo, the rain had stopped and the sun had peeked through briefly, so we went anyway. Very few families showed up. The kids had fun though. Sunday, we spent the morning and early afternoon at Grammy and Papa's house.

I have finished the stitching on my Fantasy exchange piece. I need to "finish" it now. I will post a photo once it is received.

It turned out really great, Kari! And M's first attempt at stitching is really quite impressive. Start 'em young! LOL
