Catching up

It's been a busy week. I've barely stitched because I can't keep my eyes open at night. I managed to get in 40 minutes to night before I had to give up. This will get better, right?

We had a great weekend. I spent most of Saturday outside with the kids. John is on call this week and ended up having to go into work until late. Sunday, I took the kids to a yard sale at my tutoring center. It is closing, so they were trying to sell a bunch of stuff off. I got a great deal on lots of books. Later in the afternoon, we took MIL out for lunch for her birthday. Monday, the babysitter came over and played with the kids while I cleaned the house. Then we went to pick up my mother.

That brings us to today. I sat in 2 hours of traffic, worked all day, then sat in 1.5 hours of traffic. Very exciting. I swear, if the commuter rail was more convenient, I would take that to work.

I "finished" my fantasy exchange piece. It was my first attempt at this type of finishing. I can't show a pic until I know it was received, but I'll give a little hint. It's yellow and in a cube. LOL

OK that's it for now. I'll try to snap a pic of our new sliders tomorrow. They were installed last week. I am loving my new screen door!
