No time and vacation plans
I never seem to have time to blog at night at home. Well, I do have time, but I haven't been hanging in the basement much because it has been too muggy down there. Is summer almost over?
Thursday, we took the kids to the Pawtucket Red Sox game. John's company had a corporate cookout. For the most part, the kids were good, at least during dinner. Once the game started, P was not into sitting and watching the game. He was all over that place. It got very tiring running after him, so we left the game early.
We had a nice weekend. Saturday, the kids and I went grocery shopping. Then after naps, we went to M&J's house. The kids stayed with Papa while M and I went to visit a friend and her brand new baby. He is so cute! I forgot how little they are when they are brand new. Surprisingly, I didn't get the urge to have another one. LOL Probably a good thing! 2 is more than enough for me!!
Yesterday, I picked up my mom and we took the kids to 2 different flea markets. I haven't been to one all summer, so I was itching to go. I got a couple of books for myself. Found John a Fletch book that he didn't have, and got some little things for the kids. It was nice to spend the day walking around with my mother and the kids. Last night, John and I took advantage of mom being there and went to see for drinks and then to see "The X-file: I Want To Believe". I loved it! I don't understand why it got bad reviews. I thought it was great and a fun movie!
Last week, the kids and I decided that the seeds we planted in our pots on the deck weren't going to grow, so I took them to Home Depot and bought some already started flowers. I'll post photos tomorrow!
We are taking the kids to NH at the end of the summer to visit Story Land. John booked the hotel today. It will be our first official family vacation away from home. I'm really looking forward to it.
