Happy belated..B-day to me and the first day of preschool '08

My birthday was Saturday. I have officially hit my late 30's yikes! 3 years away from the big 4-0. But, let's not think about that now, OK? I had a nice day. Slept in late, then went to the mall with John and the kids. We bougght the kids some clothing for the fall, I got a book, and John got a CD. M picked up her room as a present to me and Peter was nice enough to take a 3 hour nap, so I got to stitch and watch TV un-interrupted. It was nice.

Yesterday, was playing catch up with laundry, groceries, and picking up my mother. We got everything ready for the first day of school. Then John and I went out for our annual birthday/anniversary dinner with M&J. We went to Benjamin's I love that place!

Today was M's first day of her last year for preschool. One more year to go before kindergarten. I think M was a little nervous this morning. Her friends from last year have left and gone onto kindergarten. She was scared that she would not make new friends. The result was a fight about her new shoes and many tears shed this morning. So, this is the first day photo that I ended up with:



I'm sure we will all look back on that and laugh one day. LOL I took her to school and waited with her until more kids arrived. Then I stepped out to photocopy and hang flyers for the PTU meeting. Before I left for work, I peeked in and she was doing just fine. The end of day report was that she made new friends and can't wait to go back tomorrow. Phew!
