Monday again
It's Monday again and I haven't blogged in a week. M seemed to survive the first week of school. She gave me a fight every morning about shoes. It was so bad, that I took her to school on Wednesday without shoes on. Yes, I brought them with me and she put them on once we were in the building. I told her it would happen again if she fought me again. Friday morning went much better, so I held out hope that we were over the fighting, but this morning she rode to school without shoes. I know this isn't about her shoes. She doesn't want to go to school for some reason and we are having a hard time figuring out why. She has the same teacher as last year and has seemed to make new friends very quickly. Hopefully, this will pass soon becuase it is getting old.
The kids both started gymnastics last week. I forgot to take a photo before we left. I will try to get one on Wednesday before we leave. P is in the Teeny Tiny Tumblers. He "just" makes the cut-off for starting age. (2.5 by a couple of days). It's not a mommy and me class this year, but I;m wondering if I should have waited. He has a tendency to wander off and gave the teacher a run for her money. LOL M had a blast in her Kinder Tumblers class and wants to go back. I decided gymnastics and swim are all I am involving her and P in this year. P won't start swim until next spring. He can't go in the pool alone until he is 3 and I have no desire to get in the pool with him.
As for me, I have been working late, tutoring and reading. Not much stitching. Saturday, I had to tutor in the morning then my friend Beverly came over for an afternoon of stitching. John had to go into work, so we did have the kids around, but we had a nice time. It was nice to catch up with her. I also got some god progress on the stocking I have to finish soon. Sunday, it poured all day, so instead of going to help at my SIL's yard sale, I took the kids shopping and started laundry. John and I took advantage of my mom being there and went to the movies later last night. We saw "Burn After Reading". Very funny, yet very dark movie. I would only recommend it if you liked Fargo.
